Basketball from a fans perspective
We are off somewhere
Is the saga of LaVar Ball and sons over becomes the big
question? Has the basketball version of
a soap opera finally concluded? Late Thursday
afternoon speculation became reality when it was announced LeMelo and LiAngelo signed
with Harrison Gaines sport agent, the plan drawn out by Daddy LaVar is to find
a team in Europe both brothers can be on the court at the same time. According to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman relatives
with stay with them while overseas, LaVar believes both will likely return in June
in time for the NBA draft.
With LaVar Ball pulling the strings almost anything
can occur over the next 12 months, but we do know signing with an agent college
is out for these two. As for the pro
prospects the youngest son LeMelo is thought to have basketball talent and show
him the possibility he might be a future NBA player. As for middle brother LiAngelo that’s a
different story, he’s got talent no argument but enough to play at a high pro
level such as the Euro League. In conclusion
all we can do at this point is to stay tuned for the next episode in The
Life of Ball.

Sixer management must have read my blog about trading
Jahlil Okafor the number three pick in the 2015 NBA draft. Just kidding folks however, they finally made
the move on a trade, the Big Man moves to the Nets along with guard Nik Stauskas and a future 2nd round
draft pick. The Sixers will receive
Trevor Booker a 6-8 power forward to aid depth to their bench.
I had to check
I didn’t realize how good the City of Kansas City
Missouri has been for Kansas basketball until Wednesday evening. For those unfamiliar with
the lay of the land I’m offering a brief explanation. I live in Missouri however I’m a little less
than a mile from State Line Rd, if you are driving northbound on State Line
Road you are in the State of Missouri on the southbound side you’re in
Kansas. I’m less than an hour’s drive to
Lawrence Kansas depending on a choice of three routes.
The 10:00 p.m. sports newscast the reporter informed us the
Jayhawks have lost two games in Kansas City the latest on Wednesday
December 6, 2017. The first game they lost occurred February 3, 1899, yes, the year is correct it was 1899. The Kansas City YMCA beat the Kansas Jayhawks
16-5. I had to go to the record books to
ensure the reporter was providing us with correct information and sure enough
he was correct. Now you can understand
why Kansas loves to travel to Kansas City to play, Kemper Arena earlier and Sprint City now are nicknamed Allen Fieldhouse East because Kansas almost never suffers defeat here.
