Winning
How many of us grew tired of Charlie Sheen and this phrase?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pipTwjwrQYQ

He overused the phrase winning, in this instance I’m discussing winning teams.  The Super Bowl is yet to be decided as this is written, probably the State of Massachusetts wants the Patriots to win.  It’s likely much of the population of the other 49 states are pulling for the Eagles, why you ask?  People I’ve talked to indicate they are “tired of New England winning all the time.”

In college basketball we’ve heard the same comment made about Duke and Kentucky.  Much earlier we heard similar statements regarding the Showtime Lakers or the baseball Yankees.  Funny we never heard complaints about the Jordan led Bulls or the LeBron Heat and Cavs.  This is the key for me, we complain about sports teams dominating but isn't that what you are supposed to do, WINNING.

Today is D-Day or X-Day
Point guard Xavier Pinson from Simeon High School in Chicago is among the last uncommitted Class of 2018 prospects.  The 6-2 170 Pinson attended the Kentucky-Mizzou game, his choice of schools is down to four and Mizzou is one of the four.  Is he headed to Columbia, we’ll find out later today.  In addition Trent Williams a 6-3-point guard from Bellaire Texas in metro Houston is also on Mizzou's radar.  Williams attends Gillette College a community college located in Gillette Wyoming.

Perhaps it might be me
It appears to me at times Lakers Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle are guilty of taking difficult shots.  I once and I don’t remember the player it was years ago.  The writer said, “Player A believes there is no such thing as a difficult shot.”  That might be true in some cases however I’m sitting in the Man Cave watching the Laker-Thunder game.  I can tell from the angle of the Ingram/Randle shot it ain’t going in the basket.  No matter I guess, Lakers win 108-104.

Can you believe this guy?
Hey Kevin Keitzman, Oklahoma’s Trae Young is a talent.  It might be true he does turn the ball over on occasion but so does Steph Curry.  During games Young takes wild unorthodox shots at times, guess what so does Curry.  Don’t misunderstand this rant, I’m not claiming Young is on the same level of Curry.  Curry is an NBA Champion, prolific scorer and assist man, Young is yet to taste success on that level, but it just might be possible one day.

I think Young might have the best rebuttal regarding his play.  He said: “I’m
19-years old”, think about that statement the next time you feel a need to offer your basketball expertise regarding Young.  Many you might have no idea who Kevin Keitzman is, if you are in the KC Metro you are familiar with him.  In truth maybe I’m the dummy, Keitzman’s got me stirred up with a nonsensical comment regarding a game he's likely not played beyond middle school.

He’s on the way
Mohamed Karlakwan Damala Bamba is on his way to the NBA, he’s not yet declared for the 2018 NBA draft however it’s only a matter of time.  The 6-foot 11-inch 225-pound freshman has no reason to remain at the University of Texas.  His offensive game might be limited however his defense is top notch and NBA ready.

Bamba is .003 percentage points behind the NCAA Division I leader in blocked shots, in addition he’s already broken the single season team record for blocked shots by a Texas player.  Although his team lost their game against Texas Tech Bamba registered 7 blocked shots before eventually fouling out.  Bamba is from Harlem New York however his parents emigrated from the Ivory Coast or the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.
