Basketball from a fans perspective

Game three-update
Steph Curry scored 11 points, Klay Thompson had 10 the Warriors lose, right?  Not quite the case, the Warriors won 110-102 thanks mostly to 43 points by Kevin Durant.  He shot .652 from the floor providing proof he wasn't just hoisting up shots.  Durant also had 13 rebounds and 7 assists, at this point I need to remind you again Larry Laker picked the incorrect team to win three times now.  I picked the Sixers, I picked the Celtics and I picked the Cavs to win Game three.  I mentioned this the other day, its LeBron James and Kevin Love that’s about it.  The Warriors as it appears can win despite the Splash Brothers shooting poorly.  I have no idea what occurs Friday, the Cavs could win on the other hand the Warriors could as well.  This series is certainly pretty much over now with the Cavs in an 0-3 hole.
Chase Center
Construction on the Warriors new home continues to progress and is out half finished, Chase Center is scheduled to open in 2019.  The 18,000-seat arena in San Francisco will be slightly smaller than Oracle but will have several more amenities.  In the Chase Center suites will be built on one side of the arena only, a different approach to an arena build.  The team is leaving Oakland’s Oracle Arena which has served as home for the Warriors off and on since 1966.
According to information I uncovered the Warriors moved from Philadelphia to San Francisco in 1962, various sites have served as home to the Warriors.  Home at various times include the Cow Palace, Civic Center, Sobrato Center and San Jose Arena.  As you can see the Warriors have played all over Northern California they even played six home games in San Diego during the 1996-97 season.  In fairness a number of these moves were the result of renovation at Oracle Arena on more than one occasion.
Bits n Pieces
I’ve yet to write an account because the story continues to develop and there are too many moving parts.  What in the world is going on with the Sixers and their embattled president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo?  I’m not even sure how the story first came to the attention of the media.  What is known to date there are several secret Tweeter accounts traced to Colangelo and his wife, as soon as it’s concluded I’ll provide my spin on it.
The U.S. and the world are not yet serious about recycling, several nations are understanding its crucial we become serious about recycling.  We live on a planet that provides us abundantly with life enhancing food and to a degree shelter.  In addition, consider the fact we recycle coaches too whether its college or the NBA.  Few assistants have become head coaches at either level and there is no on simple reason why.  If we check out their bio’s Roy Williams, Coach K., Gregg Popovich and Mike D’Antoni.  We could speculate for days but it’s my belief the desire to win immediately, an athletic director or NBA owner desires a coach they believe will turn around the program immediately.
There is no doubt, LSU might have recruited ¾ of the best collection of talent ever in college basketball.  None of them would remain in school to complete their eligibility but what cooda, wooda, shooda been.  Unless you’re a basketball historian some of the names might be unfamiliar to you.  On one wing stood Shaquille O’Neal 7-foot 1 inch and 250 pounds, Stanley Roberts 7 foot and 285 pounds occupied the center position.  In the backcourt was Chris Jackson 6-foot 1-inch sharpshooter, he would later change his name to Mahouud Abdul-Rauf once in the NBA.

Should the Lakers trade Brandon Ingram for the Spurs Kawhi Leonard?  The first question do we suppose the Spurs will seriously entertain offers for the All-Pro and 2X All-Defensive Player of the Year?   Leonard has been in the NBA since 2014 he will turn 27 before next season starts.  If the injury issue is a thing of the past maybe the Lakers could bring this Los Angeles native “home.”
