BASKETBALL FROM A FANS PERSPECTIVE
You don’t say
NBA owners operate no differently than one’s from other sports, threats and bully tactics are often tossed about depending on the issue.  Example, Talking Stick Arena home of the Phoenix Suns has a planned renovation, according to the Arizona Gazette the $150 million proposal was only made public six days ago.  The mayor and at least two councilpersons want the vote delayed while the proposal is studied further
What’s wrong with this picture, why several things including the fact the good citizens of Phoenix would be on the hook for a $150 million renovation, unlike Los Angeles or San Francisco where ownership has stepped up and stated “They would underwrite an arena for the Clippers and Warriors.”  Suns owner Robert Sarver’s threatened to move the Suns to Seattle or Las Vegas if the renovation is not forthcoming.  For citizens sake it’s hope they can resolve the matter to a workable conclusion.  As for owner Sarver if the report is true regarding your threat to move the Suns shame on you.
Hot Mess
We believed the Warriors had a problem, despite apparent difficulties between some teammates and even the coach the Warriors are in first place.  On the other the Bulls of Chicago are for lack of another term a Hot Mess.  Management might have believed the problem was partially resolved, they fired Fred Hoiberg issue resolved however at least for now that’s an emphatic NO.
The roster appears to not be pleased with interim coach Jim Boylen.  The Bulls experienced one of the worst losses in their history a 56-point loss to the Celtics on Saturday night.  Several players were hinting at a boycott for Sunday’s practice upset with Boylen’s substitution patterns.  At one time the Bulls were one of the most stable franchises in the NBA unfortunately time has brought about a change.
Greg Anthony says……
NBA TV analyst Greg Anthony was discussing a player, although he wasn’t discussing Lonzo Ball he could have been.  Kyle Lowry of the Raptors was the player and Anthony were discussing his lack of aggressiveness.  Anthony said, “Lack of confidence leads to a less aggressive player.”  As indicated the conversation centered around Lowry but it could just as easily be a discussion on Ball.  That would appear to be the central problem for Ball, you take the shot figuring it’s not going to go in makes for a player less likely to take the shot.  I don’t remember the game, Ball penetrated almost into the paint.  Ball could have easily tossed up a floater toward the basket instead he spun in the air and passed the ball to a teammate a few feet behind him.
No longer 1-2-3
Earlier we discussed the possibility the 2019 draft could see the Duke triplets drafted 1-2-3?  It could still occur, June is 6 months away however there could be a change.  The Oregon wunderkind Bol Bol’s moved into the number 3 position in the NBADraft.net mock.  The 7 foot 2 Bol is an interesting prospect, he’s tall enough to play center but will play elsewhere.  At 235 pounds he is far too thin but that might not be a negative.
Bol is talented enough to move out to the 3-point line and shoot an acceptable number.  His early numbers at Oregon are 21 points and nearly 10 rebounds a game.  Need a comparison, NBADraft.net compares him to former NBA player Sam Perkins or Kristaps Porzingis.  As usual this is accompanied by the mandatory disclaimer, this account is no guarantee of future NBA success.  IF Bol continues to grow his game the future could be unlimited.
